About Me

Alicia Cook, MA, LCMHC

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina.  I provide in-person and virtual therapy to adults.  I received my Bachelor's in Psychology from Binghamton University in Upstate NY and my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL.

From a very early age I've had a passion for helping others.  I feel driven to understand why we think, feel, and behave the way that we do.  The combination of my professional and personal growth gives me a different perspective of the therapeutic process.  I am familiar with both sides of the therapist/client relationship.  I strive for authenticity while also maintaining professional boundaries.  The working relationship we develop is one of the most important variables when it comes to your growing and healing.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, two daughters, and our fur babies.  I enjoy reading (although motherhood has given me a new appreciation for Audible and podcasts).  I have been on my own conscious healing journey for over 13 years, which has led to learning many new things about myself and experiencing deeper connections with my loved ones.
